The cells that are adjacent to the removed cancerous cells are actually cauterised using a sophistical electrical needle. Other methods involve a layer by layer approach to detect the presence or absence of cancer cells. Depending on the nature of the cancer and the extent to which it has affected, surgical procedures are chosen by the specialists.
